Micky touched the lives of many international randonneurs with his cheerful a smile, friendly waves, encouraging words and generous assistance to all of those around him.

We will miss riding along with Micky and his positive demeanor on brevets in New Zealand and abroad. I'm certain Micky will never be far from our thoughts when riding brevets, especially at those times when we may benefit from a few softly spoken words of encouragement.

[27] Our dear friend 投稿者:Eric Larsen 投稿日:2017/03/23(Thu) 11:21

When I first met Micky in 2012 I thought "this is an interesting person that I want to know" Over the following years we became great friends, riding together in Canada, the USA and Japan, and hosting each other in our homes in our respective country. We shared good times and great difficulty.

I found that Micky was much more than an interesting person: a master of the arts, a master randonneur, a doctor, a photographer, an architect; truly a genius, a lover of life and a friend to all. His highest honor was to help a stranger on the road and to share his in his appreciation for life, brief as it is.

My deepest sympathies go out to his wonderful wife Tomomi and to his family. We have lost a friend and a truly great person, but we will keep him in our hearts and minds that we can become better at what we are doing.

[26] In memory of our "Shisho: Master" 投稿者:Jai 投稿日:2017/03/22(Wed) 17:14

It was a very shocking news for us to hear Inagaki-san's accident and we still can not believe he already passed away....

In the past days, we have fortunately had some Brevet rides together with him and we learned many things from him. Inagaki-san was always so energetic and friendly. So, it was so impressive and we are encouraged by him.

As we respect him as a Brevet's "Shisho: Master", his death is so regretful...We miss him so much!

We, hereby, sincerely express our condolence to his family and his friends...

[24] Our Great Mate Micky 投稿者:Peter Heal 投稿日:2017/03/22(Wed) 09:14

The committee and members of Audax Australia express our sincere sympathy to the family, friends of Micky and members of Audax Japan for the tragic loss of his life in an accident on the Tiki Tour.
Micky visited Australia & NZ at least seven times to participate in 1,200km and SR600 rides in the hope of completing his 4 Continent ISR Award, but alas he was not successful even though he gave it his very best shot.
Everyone he met in Australia warmed to his outgoing and friendly personality. He went out of his way on many occasions to assist Aussie riders wanting to participate in Audax japan events. Nothing was too much trouble.
A great person who will be deeply missed.
Hooroo Micky.

[23] The World Has Lost a Great Man 投稿者:Jason Ham 投稿日:2017/03/21(Tue) 15:50

I had the privilege of meeting Mickey on the 2015 Korea GR1200K and we instantly got along. We saw each other again that summer during PBP and shared some good road time on 1001 Miglia in 2016. He had a serious passion for randonneuring and was a natural ambassador. He was kind-hearted, genuine, and humorous. I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of his passing in New Zealand. He will be sorely missed all around the world. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
